July 31 -Anticipation in Osh Vegas

We spent some more time enjoying the amenities at the campground. I spent some time at the pool with the kids and then Peter took them to do archery.

A few weeks ago Peter figured that we would be in the vicinity of Oshkosh, WI during EAA Airventure, a week long airshow sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association. He sent an email to everyone he knew who was a pilot and invited them all to join us.
Emile, two of his boys, along with our property manager, Mark Sampson and his girlfriend Karen are arriving tomorrow in Emile’s new plane!

We left the campground at 2pm and drove to Oshkosh. Just as we were arriving we could see some of the jets performing today’s show.
Later on in the day, we learned that a pilot had been killed while trying to land here.

There are already over 11,000, not a typo, 11,000 airplanes here at the show.

We are looking forward to the shows over the coming days.
