Day 1 Leaving

Day 315 Returning

Aug 31 -Home Again

We are getting packed up and ready to head home!  To our house!  I was feeling those excited butterflies, anticipating stepping back into our home.

Our doorknob!
When we arrived home, we all entered our vacant house together.  We walked through the house, quite frankly, in awe of our home and thankful for Gods protection and all that has happened to bring us back home.   We gathered in the kitchen, held hands in a circle and prayed thanksgiving for all that God has done and the journey that we have been so Blessed to have with each other over the last 10 ½ months.  We have had a trip of a lifetime, with life long memories together!  I have tears in my eyes as I write this, as this chapter in our journey has come to an end, God will open what is to come next for each of us.

Aug 30 -Perch Lake with Cousins

We enjoyed our day at the lake with some knee boarding, tubing and hot tub.  It was a cool day but great to be at the lake!

Aug 29, Kevin's 53rd and Perch Lake

Uncle Kev and Joanna
This morning Peter and I ran to look at some furniture and then we were off to have lunch at my Uncle Kevin and Auntie Joanna’s house in Spruce Grove.  My cousin Catherine and her sweet girls joined us too.
After a lunch, birthday cake for Kevin and a visit we then loaded up and headed to Perch Lake for the weekend.  It is a surprise for my nephews, as they don’t know we are coming!
As we travelled down the last stretch to get to the lake, Zane was bouncing in the passenger seat he was so excited to see his cousins.  He said, “Dad, you know that feeling you get in your stomach, when you are excited about a ride at Disney World? I feel like that right now!”
As we pulled up right beside the big window of the cabin, my nephews spotted the motorhome and came running!  It was so cool to have a few days at the lake with Trina, Emile, Blade, Cruz, Ice and Trax.

Aug 28 -Lunch with Dad, Supper with Mom

Mom & Ken
The kids and I headed over to Argyll Centre to return the school books Zac used last year and pick up his new books for the start of Grade 12!  Wow!  Grade 12, I get tears in my eyes as I think that a year from now Zac could be off somewhere else.  Well, things went quickly at the school, so we stopped in to look around Axe Music.
Peter was meeting with his boss, Jason for the morning, so we then went back to pick him up from his meeting, & headed to Kingsway Mall to meet my Dad, Sharon and my brother, Lonnie for lunch.  It was so wonderful to see them and hear how their year has been!
Brother Jason and Meylan
Lonnie is planning on travelling around the world and staying in hostels and couch surfing.  There is so much to see and learn.
After lunch, we headed over to Mom’s for a visit and supper.  Most of my family was there:  Jason, Meylan, Jody, Connor, & Taylor.  What a terrific visit and meal!
Then back to the motorhome at Camp Truckzone.  LOL

Aug 27 -Edmonton Supper with Harry and Laural

We didn't bring it home
We are on the road to Edmonton today.  We are stopping at Costco and then we have plans to meet Pastor Harry and Laural  for supper at their home.  Wow! It is so wonderful to see them!  Great food and visit with such amazing friends.
