July 12 -National Sinkhole (Corvette) Museum

We went to the National Corvette Museum.
This is a wonderful Corvette museum but its most interesting feature is the fact that the museum is built on land that has caves below (sinkhole), and overnight on Feb 12, 2014 a sinkhole caved developed, inside the building,  pulling along with it, 8 Corvettes.  They have left the sinkhole for visitors to view and put the cars on display once they were pulled from the sinkhole.

Attendance is up 60%

Both the 1,000,000th and the 1,500,000th Corvettes were recovered from the sinkhole
