Feb 28 -EPCOT Revisited, American Idol Experience

We went back for one last day at Disney Hollywood Studios.   A big highlight for the day was Zac and I deciding to audition for the American Idol Experience.  We had a blast!  We both auditioned for the same talent scout and were able to stay in the same room and listen to each other. Zac moved on to audition for the producer and he was put through to perform on the Idol Experience stage in front of a live audience.  It was awesone.  Zac was put through hair and makeup, and a bit of vocal coaching and instruction about how to perform on the stage.  He was also chosen to do a video, and had a blast shooting the video for the show in which he was performing.

Feb 27 -Goodbye Bourassa's and Bedrooms

Today is packing day!  We are moving out of the house (and bedrooms) we have been enjoying with the Bourassa’s for the last 2 weeks and moving back into our 400 square feet.  We are all sad to say goodbye to our family, as we know we won’t see them for about 7 months : (  But, we have so enjoyed our time with them!  We will continue on our adventure and they will head back to Lloydminster.

Peter went to pick up the motorhome, which was getting some work done to it over the past 2 weeks.  When he arrived they did not have it ready and they had not done all that he had asked them to do.  They did get part of the list done, so we are grateful for that, but to be honest I was really looking forward to having new kitchen and bath taps as they leak and this is one of the things they chose not to fix. 

Once Peter got back to the house with the motorhome we packed it and headed back to Orlando Thousand Trails for a few days, as we loved it there and Zac had met some teens who are fulltimers on our last visit.  So, Zac headed to the clubhouse to meet up with people and they ended up doing music at the piano for a few hours.

Feb 26 - Relaxing Shrimp

Down day at the house.  Just relaxing and enjoying the pool and space!  Peter and Emile went grocery shopping to get shrimp for a shrimp fry for supper tonight! 

Feb 25 -Downtown Disney

We decided to have a shopping day at Downtown Disney.  We have some very excited boys to go to the Lego Store!  Zane had been saving his money just waiting for the opportunity to buy Lego Mindstorm a Lego robot that you can build in endless ways, program it yourself and then control it with your ipod or iphone. He is so excited to get building, creating and programming  his creations. Then we topped off our shopping day with lunch at the Rainforest Café.  Great day!

Feb 24 -EPCOT

EPCOT is the Disney park for us today! 

Once we were through the gate a man came up to Peter and said “Are you Peter Parkinson?” It was the husband of a lady I had met in Phoenix and discussed homeschooling with. She had recognized me in line and they thought they would have a bit of fun as Peter hadn’t met either one of them. After visiting for a few minutes the main gates opened and we were off on a new Disney adventure.

Feb 23 -Daytona 500 and home again

Emile, Peter, Zane, Blade and Cruz headed to the Daytona 500 Nascar race!  After only 38 minutes the race was rain delayed and didn’t resume for over 6 hours. Peter and Emile had decided after a couple of hours of standing with 150,000 other people under the bleachers to bring the boys home to Orlando and ended up watching the race on the TV in our backyard.

The rest of us stayed at the house where I organized a few experiments:  Like the floating egg, and making a cloud in a jar.  The kids also made crafts with marshmallows and pretzels!
