Apr 3 -Savannah, lighthouse, Pirates, SCAD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAC!!
We are heading to tour Savannah, Georgia today.  We started our day by going directly to Tybee Island, Georgia to tour their lighthouse.  We climbed 178 stairs up the 154 foot  lighthouse.  Views were awesome!  We sang Happy Birthday to Zac at the top of the lighthouse.  Then we toured the grounds and house of the lighthouse keeper.
We headed to Savannah, where we stopped for lunch at The Pirates’ House restaurant.  Genesis got into the pirate roll with her hat and eye patch, which was given as a children’s menu.  We whispered to the waiter that it was Zac’s 17th birthday and at the end of our meal he was brought strawberry shortcake with whipped cream!  Zac enjoyed every bite!

On to tour Savannah, we went to Forsythe Park, a beautiful park in the middle of the city where Thomas Kinkade sat and painted a picture of the fountain.
Then we went to the Savannah College of Art and Design Museum, which was so cool!  Students were available to answer questions.
