We headed toward La Bufadora
to meet with a couple who were referred to us by Kim & Lisa Crockett. Lisa went to school with Heidi who is now a
missionary near Ensenada, so we connected with Heidi and Mike at Casa Blanca. It was so great to see their home and hear
about their ministry to teams and the community they are in! What a lovely couple with a giving heart and
attitude. Their purpose is to be a
refuge place for teams passing through or who want to do ministry in the
Ensenada area. For teams who go to Casa
Blanca, they are fed breakfast and supper and have housing and all bedding
provided for the cost of their stay.
Mike and Heidi have a beautiful view over the ocean and have spent much
time and effort making their home a wonderful place.
They are getting involved in
their surrounding community by helping at a Rehab shelter for families. They are also involved in a church plant from
Calvary Chapel that is an English speaking church intended to minister to the
retired population in their area.
After our visit, we continued
up the road another few minutes to La Bufadora and took the kids to see the “blow
hole” and have some Churros. They were
hot and delicious! Zane was coming down
with a flu and cold and was feeling real rough this day, but was an amazing
trooper through our travels and visit!

We headed back to the
motorhome to get ready for our date night with Randy and Sandy to go to a
Brazilian Restaurant called Pompas.
It was a big deal for their
girls, so they pampered Sandy all afternoon.
Giving her a pedicure and manicure and doing her hair and makeup! Randy and Sandy figured it had been 2 years
since they went on a date and realized that they need to do this more
often. We had a lovely night of visiting
and food and topped it off with a coffee at Starbucks. There was much conversation, laughter and it
was just so much fun to hangout with this amazing couple.
