We back tracked to Portland
today, as Peter had researched and found that Portland had many bike shops and
NO SALES TAX. Zane was needing a new
bike as he has outgrown his.
Because it was a Saturday...Once again, a Church of God
in the Portland area allowed us to camp in their parking lot. This is so awesome, as we can just walk out
our door and be at church!
November 3
We attended the Aloha Church of God and had a great time learning in their Sunday School and church service. We also participated in a coffee fellowship time after the service.

Thank you Pastor Tim Irwin.
Once we left church we headed for the Oregon coast. Unfortunately our GPS routed us in the right direction but the kids couldn't handle the twist and turns and hills and valleys that it was taking us through. After a long stop at a road side cafe the kids felt their digestive systems beginning to normalize. Thats when we decided to stay inland and off of the coastal highway. At least for this day ; )
Later on we were in need of fuel and got trapped in a fuel station where the only way out was to back out to the interstate and then try and drive around the fuel islands doing a full U turn. Can anyone help spell the Canadian version of "pulling a U-ee"
We ended the night comfortably just off of the I-5 in Coburg, OR Just north of Eugene.
