June 15 -Father's Day and Selkirk Baptist

Rail that Peter used to slide down as a boy
It was an awesome day at Selkirk Baptist Church.  This is the church that Peter grew up attending.  So, it was such an honour for Zac to play and sing for the service.  Zac played and sang “Wise Men Say”, he played “Jane Song” for the offering and he and I sang a duet  “How Many Kings”.
As we reflected on how many generations attended this church and that relationship with God was instilled at a young age for Peter.  We are thankful for this church, in which, Peter’s grandparents and parents attended so many years ago.  Having Peter’s mom and dad with us made the opportunity to worship the Lord at this congregation very special.  We were blessed to stay for a fundraising luncheon after church and visit.
Right after church we went to Peter’s cousin Dave’s to see the old farm house that Peter grew up in.  We took some pictures as the old house may not be here the next time we come back for a visit.  It was so great to have a visit with David and Wanda!
Cousins
Uncle Jim BBQ’d for a Father’s Day supper. Along with Uncle Jim’s family, Peter’s brother Kent and wife Jodi came to visit from Hamilton.

All the cousins had a lot of fun.
