Dec 24 Christmas Eve with Randy and Sandy Huebert

We headed to Randy and Sandy’s to help make tamales for supper.  In Mexico Christmas is celebrated on December 24th, with a Mexican meal and then they typically wait until midnight to open gifts.  With Randy and Sandy we did a candlelight service at their place.  Sandy told the Christmas story of why Jesus was born.  Zac played & sang Silent Night on piano.  He, Genesis and I also sang “How Many Kings.”  Zac played Silent Night as we lit candles.
Then Randy brought in a bag with each girls name on it with their wrapped Christmas gifts inside and placed them in the middle of the room.  The girls got their bags and each got to open one gift.  They were so excited!  Then they were allowed to open the next gift.  The excitement and joy was awesome to watch!  The home was blessed with many donations this year for the girls so they had a few more gifts than usual.
