October 21, 2013 Photo at Departure

October 21 -Lloydminster, AB Departure

Our departure from home was a bit emotional, as we have left Turbo (our dog) at home to be cared for by a wonderful family who will take great care of him.  But, as we said our good byes to Turbo and family members the emotions kicked in.  This photo was taken in our yard prior just before departing on October 20, 2013.

October 21-23, 2013 The Adventure Begins

Hello Everyone!  We got on the road on Monday, October 21, 2013.  This was one day earlier than we expected.  Whoo Hoo!  Our plan was to travel to Hinton, AB, well, we made it to Spruce Grove, AB and didn't get into bed until well past 11 p.m.  That's what happens when you stop at a mall.  Lol

October 22, 2013 held a few of its own challenges as we made it to Hinton, AB and realized we needed transmission and engine oil. Because they are special synthetic oils it was not the easiest to find so we spent a few extra hours in Hinton.  Thank you Lord, that we were able to find the oil we needed!!  Too bad Peter didn't think to bring some from work.
 So we decided that we would then travel from Hinton to Valemount, BC and we spent the night at an amazing RV place with the friendliest people, which was a wonderful end to our traveling day!  (ps:  Genesis says they have awesome showers!)

October 23, 2013 has been a beautiful day of travel through the British Columbia mountains!  What an amazing God we have to have created such beauty!  We are now in Chilliwack, BC at a very full RV park, which seems odd in the off season.  We are thankful that we got the last site they had and it fit us, that in itself is quite a miracle, as we are 65 feet long!
